Sony Xperia M2 and M2 Dual to be lauched soon in India



Sony may soon launch Xperia M2 and M2 Dual smartphones in India. The company already revealed these phones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) last month. 

Saholic, an Indian e-retailer has listed these phones as coming soon. This very Xperia M2 shall be coming in two versions- one powered by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 quad-core processor and Adreno 305 GPU, while other powered by the Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 mobile chipset with Adreno 305 GPU graphics. 

The only difference between these two processors is that the new Snapdragon 400 MSM8926 will offer support 4G LTE network support. However, it is not known still as to which version shall be launched in India.


The smartphone sports a 4.8-inch LCD display with 960x540 pixel resolution and 10 point multitouch support. Both the variants support Android 4.2 Jelly Bean MR2 and pack 1 GB  of RAM. It is decked with a 2300 mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia M2 features an 8 MP camera at rear with Exmor RS for mobile image sensor. The camera is equipped with Autoscene Recognition and HDR imaging modes, also supports third party app integration for using other apps such as Vine.

The new Sony Xperia M2 will be available in purple, white and black colour variants.
